GM, GE and good day to you all, today is Monday the 18th of September. Welcome to the Journals by Unbarred. A laidback take on the global culture & bare opinions on the new era. Journals by Unbarred is produced & written with intention by Miss Purple for Purple Pages; find her on X or Farcaster.

Before we get into today’s take, I ask that you please subscribe or follow The Purple Pages on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and/or Medium. The hope is to have these takes everyday for the next 2 weeks, so this is me hoping we can take that journey together. Every like, every share and every comment helps The Purple Pages to keep creating. All the links will be included in the show notes and here on medium for easy access. Alright, lets get into it!

There is something to be said about the sheer brokenness of global systems. I’m talking financial systems, geopolitical systems, education, medical, all of them. Heck, in many ways even the trusty ol’ familial systems we have grown accustomed to. Now brokenness does not necessarily equate Armageddon, in some ways it can hold a promise of a new ‘forma de vida’ if you will. It presents an opening for change & growth, an opening that should one leap into it, has endless possibilities of boldness. The idea that we have to continue existing and operating within the brokenness is outdated to say the least, which in itself says a lot about our willingness to hold onto darkness for the sake of what pride?

I could tell stories about big pharma, or the politicians who refuse to evolve because what if they become obsolete? Many countries such as mine have been captured by a sinister kind of greed, the kind that is willing to destroy a hospital in the midst of a pandemic, because an external party promised to build a new one. The kind that will displace families from their homes for another exploitative project to take place, sending the families off into uncertainty with no more that 150 dollars. The kind that continues to plague us more so in this new era of invasive technology.

Well the sassy boys and gals of this new era are taking back control. In short, as the Boys Club said in the tweet that inspired this take, we are here to radicalise against regulatory capture. Of course, some of us already live in the thick of it, which is a stifling experience to say the least, difficult to escape from. So call it retribution, call it power to the people, call it what you will, but this online era dares to challenge, it dares to configure an era that at its worst at least considers humanity before compensation, this online & onchain era is understatedly & undeniably radical.

Long live the radical revolutionaries. Not even the elite will silence the freedom to change. Not this time.

For context the X post I referenced is from the 17th of September in the screenshot above, by BoysClubWorld, which reads “you’re in her DMs, we’re in the group chat radicalising her against regulatory capture”.

I will see you all tomorrow for another bare take on this new era.
